New Delhi: Director General CISF, Shri Praveer Ranjan , visited Patna today to review the preparedness of CISF units deployed for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections and to meet CISF personnel injured in a recent accident.
He was accompanied by Shri Sudhir Kumar, ADG North Sector; Shri Deepak Verma, IG Eastern Sector; Shri Jitender Rana, IG Patna Range (Bihar Police); and Shri Raj Kumar, IG Bihar Sector (CRPF).
The DG and accompanying officers visited Paras HMRI Hospital, Patna , where 24 CISF personnel injured in a bus accident at Saran District are undergoing treatment. The officers interacted with the injured personnel, enquired about their well-being, and motivated them for a speedy recovery. They also assured all possible assistance and support from the Force.
During the visit, DG CISF called on Shri Pratyaya Amrit, Chief Secretary, Government of Bihar , and held discussions regarding land acquisition for the proposed CISF Recruit Training Centre, Reserve Battalion, and Group Headquarters in the state.
The DG also met Shri Vinay Kumar, DGP Bihar Police , and discussed the deployment of CISF companies for ensuring secure and peaceful conduct of the elections.
Later, he chaired a conference with the Battalion Commanders of CISF companies deployed for election duties, reviewed their operational preparedness, and motivated them to deliver their best in ensuring free, fair and peaceful elections.
